My heart aches for The Poppinga family during this difficult time. I had the pleasure of meeting Julius this summer while working at Coach Brandon Russell's summer camp. Although I did not know Julius long, you could see his impact on the staff, fellow CIT's and most importantly the campers who adored and looked up to him. I could see how his passion for football spoke to many campers and how his success made them realize they could accomplish the same strides in the field and athletics if they wanted too. He was funny, always helpful with a smile and a hard working gentleman. The world is a little less bright without him in it physically. God Bless him, his whole family and friends.
